Sequential’s 1986 Prophet VS featured 16 voices and a 61-note keyboard, as well as digital oscillators and Curtis-style digital-controlled analog filters. At the time, it retailed for £1,899 which is a far cry from the affordable PRO-VS which is expected to retail at $99 once Behringer themselves have received the chips for the PRO-VS.
Given the shortage of chips available across the world, Behringer has yet to name a date for pre-orders or a tentative shipping date for the PRO-VS.
Behringer recently launched the Behringer Edge, a percussive synth that seems to be a companion instrument of sorts to the Behringer Crave.
