Fresh from AudioThing’s locker is Valves, a plug-in designed to emulate the character of vintage tubes.
Valves is made up of three main sections: Valve, Filter and cabinet/EQ. The first of these lets you cook up some authentic-sounding valve character with up to 16x oversampling.
The second section is a multimode resonant filter that, like classic ladder filters, features two- and four-pole options. It also offers you four filter modes – low-pass, high-pass, bandpass and notch – as well as the ability to toggle between pre- or post-valve application.
The third section, Cabinet/EQ, is stocked with a range of emulated guitar amplifiers. These can be further tweaked by a two-band EQ.
