Arturia’s Synthi V, a digital recreation of the the famous EMS synth of the same name.

Arturia has unveiled V Collection 7, the seventh edition of its popular keyboard and synthesizer instrument pack.

V Collection 7 comes with three new virtual instruments: CZ V, Synthi V and Mellotron V. The original versions of these instruments, as you may recall, are steeped in music history.

The CZ series was a range of synthesizers manufactured by Casio in the 80s. EMS’ Synthi AKS, on the other hand, was famously used on Pink Floyd’s 1973 instrumental track, On The Run. And the Mellotron, with its gossamer sounds, was employed on The Beatles’ Strawberry Fields Forever.

The Arturia CZ V captures the Casio CZ – a popular and affordable digital synth range from the 1980s.

Other highlights of V collection 7 include 800 new presets, updates to B-3 V and the introduction of Analog Lab 4. The latter is the fourth edition of Arturia’s keyboard sounds pack.

The entire package includes 24 virtual instruments including pianos, organs, digital synths, analogue synths and more. Watch the intro video from Arturia below.

V Collection 7 is available now for the introductory price of $399 (normally $499). More info at arturia.com.
