Antelope Audio has released Goliath HD | Gen 3, a top-of-the-line audio interface boasting premium AD/DA conversion as well as a 136dB dynamic range on its preamps. With its wealth of I/O packaged together with the brand’s Edge Duo Modelling Mic, this device is intended to weather the rigours of both studio and live productions. Here are the details:

Analogue connections

The Goliath HD offers an abundance of I/O, providing you with 16 onboard mic/line preamps, two analogue inserts and eight instrument inputs. On top of these are 16 analogue inputs and 32 analogue outputs which are accessible on DB25 connectors.

The 32 analogue outs combine with two ReAmp outs and two headphone outs for a grand total of 38 analogue outputs.

Additionally, the interface also provides for digital connections via Thunderbolt, USB, AES, MADI, ADAT and S/PDIF. There’s even an option of two HDX ports, which bring any analogue or digital input into Pro Tools with full sample accuracy. According to Antelope Audio, the device equips you with a total of 346 digital inputs and outputs.

Edge Duo Modeling Mic

Bundled together with the Goliath HD is Antelope Audio’s Edge Duo Modelling Mic. The mic can be tweaked within a comprehensive modelling suite that lets you select from 11 emulations of legendary mic models. Options include Berlin 47 FT, Berlin 49T, Berlin 57, Berlin 87, Berlin 67, Berlin M103, Vienna 12, Vienna 414, Tokyo 800T, Oxford 4038 and Sacramento 121F.
