First artists revealed for Loop 2020 lineup
Each artist will present a unique workshop, discussion or performance

Loop 2020, Ableton’s music event in Berlin, has announced its first wave of artists. Loop is a three-day summit, catered to music makers, bringing together creators from all around the globe, sharing their approaches to their creative processes. Among the artists announced are Cody Currie & Joel Holmes, Silvia Massy, Sotomayor, Colin Self, Ex-Easter Island Head, Eric Pitra, Evelyn Glennie, Antenes and Deena Abdelwahed.
Silvia Massy will be sharing insights from her 30-year studio career in rock and roll; she is best known for her work with Tool and System of a Down. Mexican siblings, Sotomayor will exhibit their ability to synthesise global sounds into something new.
Cody Currie & Joel Holmes are a jazz-house pair, both with their own individual projects, but coming together for Loop after their recent success with a collaborative EP, New Chapter. They will present a Music Improv session. Ex-Easter Island Head will also host a Music Improv session, teaching some of the techniques they use in their ‘guitars-as-percussion’ approach to music creation.
