Splice and SoundCloud have teamed up to launch the Nova program, which aims to spotlight emerging music creators from both platforms and elevate their careers.

The program kicks off with a series of contests held to seek out potential Nova Artists, with creators standing to win custom distribution and marketing support from SoundCloud, as well as their very own Splice sample pack.

Four winners will be handpicked to receive marketing and distribution services from SoundCloud. This includes account management, marketing and promotion, distributing and monetisation on major streaming platforms, and $20K for marketing on their next project.

The twelve Nova Artist Packs, meanwhile, will comprise signature sounds, loops and samples, and are planned for release beginning January 2022.

Participants must be unsigned in order to join the contests, and the first edition can be entered now.

Jeff Ponchick, Vice President and Head of Creator at SoundCloud, said the Nova program combined the best abilities of both companies in order to offer “new opportunities for artists, creators and fans” to grow.

“As leaders in new music discovery and creator empowerment, SoundCloud and Splice share the same DIY ethos to elevate the emerging artists and thriving communities found on our platforms who are driving music culture forward,” said Ponchick in a statement.
