Although Apple seems to enjoy shrouding its products in secrecy, the tech company must be pleased enough with the new Mac Pro to begin rolling it out to high-profile users.

Calvin Harris shared teaser clips for new material he’s been working on in his studio, but the camera glazed over a new piece of cheese grater-looking gear. Although Harris didn’t acknowledge the Mac Pro’s presence, it’s evident that the superstar producer and DJ has been given a trial run with the highly anticipated machine.

Calvin Harris Mac Pro sneak peek

Apple has made it known that the Mac Pro will be shipping some time this Fall, albeit with no confirmed date. Available with up 28-core Intel Xeon processors, 64GB of HBM2 memory and 1.5TB of ECC RAM and 4TB of SSD Storage, the Mac Pro will certainly benefit creatives who require a lot of computing power. Naturally, high specs like this won’t come at a low price – the lowest spec model starts at $5,999, with the higher end versions’ price labelled as ‘TBC’.

Along with the Mac Pro, Apple is releasing a 6K external monitor to accompany the machine, the Pro Display XDR, with a starting price tag of $4,999. A Pro Stand is expected to launch around the same time too, costing $999.

Calvin Harris’ teaser video has now expired from Instagram Stories, but he does have a recent short video showing off his jaw-dropping synth collection if you wanted a peek inside his studio.
