ADAM Audio Women IN Music Mastering Your track

From Start To Finish, ADAM Audio’s webinar series, continues this week with a lesson on mastering your music with Brighton-based mastering engineer Katie Tavini. The session takes place on 27 August at 6 pm BST and, like the rest of the webinars, is completely free to attend.

Katie Tavini has mastered music for the likes of Boniface, We Are Scientists, Nadine Shah, Bryde, Lucy May Walker and many more. The Brighton-based engineer has been in the industry since 2009, so will surely have many nuggets of wisdom for you to sink your teeth into.  “I think perfection is found in balance,” Katie says of her craft. “Getting things exactly right can actually take something away from the expression or emotion of the song. Instead, I try to master in a way that uses the best mastering techniques to express the life and vitality of the music and artist”. Tune in via ADAM Audio’s YouTube channel on 27 August.

Last week’s webinar saw producer, mix engineer and BIMM Tutor Jane Arnison cover the basics of mixing. You can watch the full show below.
