Accusonus has been working on Rhythmiq for over two years now, and has now made the AI beat assistant available for purchase. The plug-in uses AI to help you turn your tracks into a performance using built-in Reverse, Arrange and Silence effects. Accusonus claim that “Rhythmiq is fundamentally different from anything else you’ve seen”.
According to the company, several tech breakthroughs have occurred on the journey to creating the AI beat assistant. Accusonus took on this venture in an effort to solve the problem of lack of flexibility and freedom when jamming in the studio, or performing electronic music to a crowd.
Rhythmiq is designed to be your new ‘bandmate’ who learns from you, and help you create unique live compositions – improvising and re-shaping loops in real-time.
Rhythmiq can be used to generate fills, breaks and build-ups from layered stems, or from a beat you’ve chosen to import. The interface is comprised of many adjustable knobs, which can be mapped to MIDI controllers so you can “turn off your screen and experience the future of realtime beat manipulation” Accusonus says.
The AI beat assistant will be exhibited at AES in New York, and is available to purchase now at an introductory price of $99. After 31 October, the price will move up to the standard $149. A 14-day trial is also available on Accusonus’ website.
