We took a brief look at automation in our Ableton Live Tutorial last week, and this week we’re going a little deeper. Ableton Live sports a useful Automation Arm setting, which allows you to alter a parameter in realtime and have it reflected in the session file. This can be extremely useful if you want to quickly apply movement on a parameter whilst you’re recording and performing. Liam also shows you how MIDI controllers can be hooked up to perform more expressive alterations.
